Richard J. Hain

Rick Hain is a founding partner of Shelby Operations Partners and provides operational leadership across investment operations, portfolio reporting, technology infrastructure, and operational risk management.

Over the course of his career, Rick has supported multi-asset investment platforms overseeing more than $15 billion in client assets. His experience spans outsourced investment operations, performance measurement, reconciliation oversight, data aggregation, and institutional reporting. He has worked closely with portfolio management and trading teams to develop scalable operating models capable of supporting increasingly complex investment environments.

Rick has led enterprise technology implementations, including major reporting and portfolio management platforms, while also overseeing governance initiatives designed to strengthen reporting accuracy, controls, and operational transparency. His systems-level perspective helps clients identify opportunities to improve efficiency, mitigate operational risk, and prepare for future growth.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business.
